Route 66 Shooting Sports Park is looking to expand our team! We are currently seeking qualified individuals to join our Range Safety Officer & Operations Team. Candidates must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Firearms experience is highly recommended. Candidates should possess excellent observation skills and be able to identify safety violations and unsafe range behavior. Previous military & law enforcement experience, & bilingual is a plus, but not at all required. Our range is focused on safety with a hospitality approach, customer service is a top priority, second only to safety. 

We are currently seeking full time candidates only.

Regular Duties:

• Ensure all safety rules and guidelines are followed by all guests at all times
• Greet & Escort guests to their designated shooting areas
• Provide a safety and rules brief for our guests
• Assist guests with placing targets 
• Keep track of guests and shooting areas
• Ensure the range and property are in clean and safe condition
• Assist with range upkeep and maintenance
• Participate in Firearms and Product Sales if desired

Compensation is dependent upon experience, compensation range between $16-18/hr starting. Training will be provided. All applicants must pass a background check and drug screening, including marijuana use, prior to hire.

We are looking for qualified candidates to fill an multi-role position. Candidates must have a strong work ethic, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and adapt to a dynamic and constantly changing environment. Knowledge of firearms and shooting related products is a must.

Regular Duties

• Organize store room
• Maintain inventory count of front of shelved products
• Maintain inventory count of store room
• Assist in clerical duties
• Assist in Checking in guests and taking payment
• Organize files and documentation

Skills & Qualities

• Excellent communication skills
• Customer service oriented
• Detail oriented
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft & Google suite applications
• Bilingual is a plus

Compensation is dependent upon experience, compensation range between $16-18/hr starting. Training will be provided. All applicants must pass a background check and drug screening, including marijuana use. All applicants must be able to obtain a Certificate of Eligibility (COE) and maintain the COE during employment.

We are seeking experienced and qualified individuals to assist in leading our check-in and store team as we continue to expand our operations!

Regular Duties

• Manage a team of 5-10 store associates
• Enhance efficiency in range and store operations
• Manage team schedules
• Keep track of inventory of products and supplies
• Purchase products and supplies
• Manage firearm sales, transfers, and related record keeping
• Ensure success of team objectives and goals

Our Store Manager applicants should possess the following qualities:

• Excellent communication skills
• Patience and problem solving abilities
• Customer service oriented
• Firearms or related industry experience
• At least 3 years experience managing a comparable team
• Firm understanding of regulatory and compliance for firearms sales and related activities

Compensation is dependent upon experience, compensation range between $20-24/hr starting. Training and familiarization with systems and policies will be provided. 

Route 66 Shooting Sports Park is expanding our training division! We are looking for qualified individuals who would like to help gun owners become safer and more proficient with firearms. Safety is a paramount in any situation involving firearms, especially when training. Candidate must possess an extreme sense of firearms safety. Candidates must also be able to relay important techniques and information to a variety of students.

Regular Duties

• Ensure all personnel are abiding by firearm safety rules and range policies
• Assist, or lead firearms classes ranging from 2-5 hours.
• Set up and tear down the range for each class as needed
• Demonstrate drills and exercises
• Identify and correct safety and shooting deficiencies in students
• Follow existing and create new course curriculum for different disciplines of shooting

Our Firearms Instructors should posses the following qualities:

• Excellent communication skills
• Patience
• Customer service oriented
• A strong grasp of firearms knowledge and the ability to pass on that information
• Excellent observation and troubleshooting skills
• Instructor certifications preferred for certain classes
• Bilingual is a plus

Compensation is dependent upon experience, compensation range between $20-30/hr starting. Training will be provided. All applicants must pass a background check and drug screening, including marijuana use, prior to hire.

We are looking for qualified candidates to fill an multi-role position to assist with our media & communications efforts.

Regular Duties

• Design digital materials to enhance marketing, including videos and digital for social media use
• Work in conjunction with Range Safety team and Instructors to aesthetically refine digital courses to ensure understanding of safety
• Design and develop web layouts using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP to create aesthetically-appealing interfaces with functionality to ensure compatibility and usability across browsers, operating systems, and devices to clearly communicate safety guidelines
• Implement wireframes and mockups into fully functional websites
• Write clean, efficient code
• Troubleshoot and debug codes as necessary
• Optimize digital content for maximum speed, scalability, and accessibility
• Produce print materials necessary for communication.

Skills & Qualities

• Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, or Web Development
• Minimum 6-months of experience

Compensation is dependent upon experience, compensation starts at $42,058 annually. Training  on process and procedures will be provided.
