Advanced CCW Pistol
Who’s it for?
This course is designed for more intermediate or advanced students that have a firm grasp of firearms safety and fundamentals. This Advanced CCW Course will touch upon basic principles, but introduce intermediate to advanced techniques to deal problems one may encounter in an everyday defensive encounter. This course will allow students to learn and experience shooting from conditions often found in real-world situations, but are not commonly able to be practiced or experienced.
**THIS COURSE REQUIRES A PREREQUISITE OF COMPLETION OF A LEVEL 2 PISTOL COURSE**
COURSE OUTLINE
FIREARMS AND RANGE SAFETY
- 4 Rules of Firearms Safety and how they apply in the real world
- Additional safety considerations when carrying concealed firearms
MANIPULATION REFRESHER
- Concealed draw and safe presentation
- Reholstering safely, and when to do so
- Live fire exercises drawing from concealment
- Emergency, administrative (tactical) reloads, how and when to perform them
- How to identify and clear stoppages/malfunctions
SHOOTING ON THE MOVE
- Getting off the “x”
- Shooting while advancing or retreating
- Reloads while moving
- OODA Loop
- Lateral movement
SHOOTING FROM UNCONVENTIONAL POSITIONS
- How to shoot from various positions of cover and concealment
- Standing, kneeling, leaning, etc.
- Shooting from supine or prone
- How to recover from various positions
- Shooting from seated positions
- Shooting from within a vehicle
- Vehicle Exfiltration

- Creating Space

SHOOTING AT MOVING TARGETS
- Allows students to gauge reactionary gap and perform threat assessment under pressure
- Allows students to properly track and engage moving targets
COST
$225 per person
WHAT TO BRING
- Reliable semi-automatic carry pistol
- At least three magazines
- Concealment Holster of your choice and optional magazine carrier
- 250-300 rounds of ammunition
- Eye & Ear protection if you have them (sunglasses ok)
WHAT TO WEAR
Shooting range appropriate clothing (No open-toed shoes), Ladies: please do not wear low-cut shirts
Duration
Approximately 4-5 hours
