INTRO TO NIGHT VISION
Who’s it for?
This course is designed for those who are interested in utilizing night vision for various activities. The world of night vision is foreign to many, and this course is designed to introduce new or aspiring night vision users to understand some basic principles of night vision, the science, equipment, and practical applications of the use of night vision devices.
*THIS COURSE IS A NON-SHOOTING COURSE, THERE IS NO LIVE-FIRE PORTION OF THIS COURSE*
COURSE OUTLINE
- Classroom ~1.5hrs:
- What is Night Vision
- How does it work
- Night Vision Devices
- How to read a spec sheet
- Caring for NVDs
- Setting up your NVD
- Night Vision demo & night hike/exploration ~2-3hrs
- Familiarization with night vision use
- Navigate through suburban, rural, forest, and open terrain
- Explore IR Laser/Illuminator use
- Explore different device options
COST
$175 per person
Night vision rental devices and related accessories available for rent (limited quantities) for an additional $175.
(If there is no option to select upon check-out, it means that all rental units have been claimed)
WHAT TO BRING
- Note taking materials
- Quality Handheld Flashlight
- Optional kit (plate carriers, chest rigs, gun belts, etc)
- Optional carbine (with top picatinny rail on handguard)
- Empty magazines (No ammunition required for this course)
WHAT TO WEAR
- Sturdy hiking shoes/boots
- Pants, no shorts
- Weather-appropriate clothing, check the weather for the course date.

Approximately 3-4 hours
