Who’s it for?
The Introduction to Red Dot Pistol course is designed for those seeking to transition from traditional iron sights to modern pistol-mounted red dot sighting systems. This course is also ideal for those starting their pistol shooting with a red dot. We will explore the benefits of utiliing a red dot sight over traditional irons and learn how to best utilize the dot to increase your effiiciency and effectiveness with shooting a pistol.

  • Zeroing theory/concepts
  • Zeroing and verification of zero
  • Finding the dot on presentation
  • Breaking the shot
  • Remaining target focused

Cost
$195 per person

What to bring

  • Modern semi-automatic pistol in good working order (9mm or greater preferred)
  • Properly mounted pistol red-dot
  • 2 or more working magazines for your pistol
  • 200-350 rounds of ammunition
  • Holster and magazine pouches for your pistol that fits your red dot sight.*
    NO SERPA STYLE HOLSTERS
  • Sturdy belt

What to wear
Shooting range appropriate clothing (No open-toed shoes), Ladies: please do not wear low-cut shirts

Duration
Approximately 3-4 hours

Actual start and end time, and overall duration may fluctuate depending on the flow of the class, accommodations for students, delays in arrival of students, and other things that may extend, or even shorten the course duration. Please allow for flexibility in regards to duration and end time of courses.

*An outside the waistband (OWB) holster is required for this course. If you do not have a holster for this course, we may have holsters available for sale or to lend. Please email training@r66ssp.com to inquire about holster purchases or rentals.
