Course Description:
Tactical Shotgun is a course designed for the student who has any level of training utilizing the shotgun in a tactical role. This course is not designed to instruct you in skeet, trap, sporting clays or any other sporting type activity.
Pre Requisites:
There are no prerequisites for this course other a willingness
to learn and the ability to demonstrate safe weapons handling
skills.

What you’ll learn:
- Zeroing your shotgun’s sighting system and confirmation of
zero utilizing slug ammunition. - Familiarization of holds for varying distances utilizing slug
ammunition. - “Patterning” of your shotgun utilizing “duty” buckshot
ammunition. - Proper manipulation of your shotgun including, loading,
unloading, reloading, chamber loading, and malfunction
clearances. - Transition drills from shotgun to handgun.
- Multiple target engagement at varying distances.
Shooting from varied positions. - Man on Man timed drills.
Required Equipment:
- A quality shotgun (pump or semi-automatic) of at least 20
gauge equipped with a sling. Adjustable sights preferred but
not required. - A quality pistol of at least 9mm with all associated equipment.
- At least three magazines, holster, magazine pouches, and
tactical belt. - Eye and Ear Protection.
- A properly mounted optic if desired.
- Shooting mat.
- Note taking material.
- Cleaning equipment.
- Medium sized backpack filled with a sufficient amount of
clothing etc. to serve as a shooting rest/support. - 25 Rounds of Slug ammunition, 25 Rounds of Duty Buckshot,
- 150 Rounds of Birdshot.
- 100 Rounds of pistol ammunition.
- Water, food, clothing, and sunscreen etc. as needed to maintain
comfort.
Optional Equipment:
- Side Saddle and Butt Cuff loading devices.
- Knee and Elbow Pads.
